The Martinswood Estate has two roadways; one allowing access to the Mildmay Road addressed houses and Hellebore Court Flats on the estate from Mildmay Road the other allowing access the the St Michaels Court addressed houses, the St Michaels Court flats (via a short footpath) and parking.

The roads are now covered with tarmac with both the St Michaels Court and Mildmay Road roadways and car park areas having been resurfaced by the management company in recent years.

Around the flats and behind the houses, and allowing access for householders to the rear of their back gardens are communal gardens and grassed areas. The grass is mown regularly and the gardens are maintained by gardeners paid for from the Estate service charges.

The estate has a number of decorative boarders and planted areas containing mostly shrubs and bushes. There are a number of mature trees around the estate.
